That's a Good Question

Highland is Intercardinal’s version of English.  Although Gavin’s nationality and the area this story has been taking place in are based on Germany, it is part of the Higlhands.  The Highlands is an alliance of nations unified under a shared language and councils to ensure they all work well together on important matters…that Intercardinal’s version of Britain is trying to exit.  Ba-dum, tiss!
